swachh bharat abhiyan
from aninitiative toan impact
Angelique Foundation has always believed in an inclusive and sustainable future. Therefore, aligning its corporate social responsibility with one of the biggest initiatives by the Government - Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the foundation has not only initiated new projects but also extended the existing ones.
The Foundation's pioneering CSR projects kicked off with tremendous promise and are still delivering tangible results in rural areas.
Around 600 million people in India, mostly in rural areas, practise open defecation. This leads to poor standards of hygiene and vulnerability to diseases. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Angelique Foundation has started sponsoring the construction of toilets in villages and schools to reduce the incidence of open defecation.
The Foundation is sponsoring the construction of toilets in MCD schools as well as in low income houses in villages.
Flowers to Compost
Angelique Foundation believe that waste management is as important as Swachhta.
Waste management at religious places throgh an electronic automatic organic waste decomposter, recycles flower and organic waste every day, converting it into odourless compost for green areas, thereby reducing city waste and pollution.
